RenaissanceRe 2025 Sustainability Report A Message From Our CEO About This Report Sustainability Strategy Our Portfolio Our Partnerships Our People Our Operations Our Communities Our Governance Metrics and Performance Looking Ahead Appendix 37 Operational Excellence and Resilience Digital and Technology Efficiency We manage operational efficiency and reduce environmental impact through responsible technology practices. These may include extending the lifecycle of IT assets, donating decommissioned equipment to local schools where appropriate and using cloud computing to improve efficiency. We may also apply practical measures such as centrally configured power settings, energy-efficient monitors, reduced printer usage, secure reuse or recycling of devices, and digital contracts and invoice processes. Cybersecurity and Data Protection Cyber resilience is an important part of our operational risk management, supporting business continuity and the protection of client and company data. Protecting the data entrusted to us, and the systems that underpin our business, is a priority. We maintain a cybersecurity framework designed to identify, assess and manage risks across our technology environment. Our information security program is designed to meet or exceed industry best practices and is integrated into our broader ERM framework. This includes ongoing monitoring, employee training, incident response planning and alignment with recognized industry standards. Our Board is responsible for overseeing ERM and is actively involved in the monitoring of risks that could affect us, including cybersecurity risks. Responsible Supply Chain We recognize that our environmental impact extends beyond our own operations to include the suppliers and service providers on whom we depend. Our Code of Vendor Conduct sets out expectations on environmental matters, including compliance with applicable laws and regulations, responsible resource use and transparency in environmental performance. As part of our procurement process, we collect and review supplier information to assess potential risks, support due diligence and meet regulatory obligations. We also provide internal guidance and tools to support the integration of sustainability considerations into purchasing decisions. Building Sustainability Capability We embed sustainability into our operations through training, employee engagement and integration into decision-making processes. Specialized sustainability training is provided to key decision-makers, including those in investments, Capital Partners and senior leadership. Our employees also have access to our “Sustainability for Insurers” e-learning program, which provides practical insights into how sustainability applies to the insurance industry and day-to-day roles. Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee supports awareness and engagement through initiatives that promote sustainable practices and employee participation.
